This Refund Policy ("Policy") governs refund requests related to subscription plans and paid services offered by Resume Target AI, Inc. ("Resume Target AI," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") through the website located at resumetargetai.com and all related services, applications, and platforms (collectively, the "Services").
BY PURCHASING A SUBSCRIPTION OR USING ANY PAID FEATURES OF THE SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS REFUND POLICY. THIS POLICY IS INCORPORATED INTO AND FORMS PART OF OUR TERMS OF SERVICE.
1. GENERAL REFUND POLICY
1.1 All fees paid for subscription plans and paid features of the Services are generally non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have immediate access to digital content and services, and you expressly consent to the provision of such content and services upon purchase.
1.2 Refunds are granted solely at the discretion of Resume Target AI and only under the limited circumstances described in this Policy. We are under no obligation to provide a refund except where required by applicable law.
1.3 This Policy applies to all subscription tiers, including Free, Pro, and Enterprise plans, as well as any one-time purchases or add-on features.
2. SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLATION
2.1 Cancellation by User. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period for which you have already paid.
2.2 No Prorated Refunds. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel your subscription mid-cycle, you will not receive a refund for the remaining days in that billing period.
2.3 Downgrade. If you downgrade from a higher-tier plan to a lower-tier plan, the change will take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle. No refund or credit will be issued for the difference in plan pricing during the current billing period.
3. LIMITED REFUND ELIGIBILITY
3.1 Refund requests may be considered only under the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate Charges. If you were charged more than once for the same subscription period due to a technical or billing error.
- Unauthorized Charges. If a charge was made without your authorization, provided you report it within seven (7) days of the charge date and provide reasonable evidence of the unauthorized transaction.
- Material Service Failure. If the Services were substantially unavailable or non-functional for a continuous period exceeding seventy-two (72) hours during your billing period, and such failure was caused solely by Resume Target AI and not by any third-party service, internet service provider, or force majeure event.
3.2 Refund eligibility under Section 3.1 is subject to verification by Resume Target AI. We reserve the right to deny any refund request that we determine, in our sole discretion, does not meet the criteria set forth in this Policy.
4. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS
4.1 The following are expressly non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Subscription fees for billing periods during which you accessed or used any paid features of the Services
- Fees for AI-powered analysis, optimization, or content generation features that have been used or consumed
- Charges for resume exports, downloads, or any digital content that has been delivered
- Any fees associated with free trial conversions where the user failed to cancel before the trial period ended
- Subscription fees where the user simply changed their mind, found the Services unsatisfactory for subjective reasons, or no longer needs the Services
- Fees for periods during which the user's account was suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service
5. REFUND REQUEST PROCEDURE
5.1 Submission. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to billing@resumetargetai.com within seven (7) days of the charge date. Requests submitted after this period will not be considered.
5.2 Required Information. Your refund request must include: (a) your full name and account email address; (b) the date and amount of the charge; (c) the reason for the refund request; and (d) any supporting documentation or evidence relevant to your claim.
5.3 Review Period. We will review your refund request and respond within fourteen (14) business days. We may request additional information or documentation during the review process. Failure to provide requested information within seven (7) days may result in denial of your request.
5.4 Decision. All refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of Resume Target AI and are final. We will notify you of our decision via email.
6. REFUND PROCESSING
6.1 Method of Refund. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used for the purchase. We do not issue refunds via alternative payment methods, cash, check, or credit toward future services.
6.2 Processing Time. Approved refunds will be processed within ten (10) business days of approval. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider and may take an additional five (5) to ten (10) business days.
6.3 Currency. Refunds will be issued in the same currency as the original transaction. We are not responsible for any exchange rate differences or fees imposed by your bank or payment provider.
6.4 Account Impact. Upon processing of a refund, your access to paid features associated with the refunded subscription period will be immediately revoked. Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan, and any data or content exceeding Free plan limits may become inaccessible.
7. FREE TRIALS
7.1 If you sign up for a free trial of any paid plan, you will be automatically charged the applicable subscription fee at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before the trial expires.
7.2 It is your sole responsibility to cancel your subscription before the free trial ends if you do not wish to be charged. We are not obligated to provide reminders or notifications prior to the end of a free trial period.
7.3 Charges incurred as a result of failure to cancel a free trial are non-refundable.
8. CHARGEBACKS AND DISPUTES
8.1 If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or payment provider without first contacting us to resolve the issue, we reserve the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account and pursue recovery of the disputed amount.
8.2 We encourage you to contact us at billing@resumetargetai.com before initiating any chargeback or dispute. We are committed to resolving billing issues directly and promptly.
8.3 Users who initiate frivolous or bad-faith chargebacks may be permanently banned from using the Services and may be subject to collection actions for any amounts owed.
9. MODIFICATIONS TO THIS POLICY
9.1 We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Policy on our website. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
9.2 Material changes to this Policy will be communicated via email or through a notice on the Services. It is your responsibility to review this Policy periodically.
10. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES
10.1 This Refund Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
10.2 Any disputes arising out of or related to this Policy shall be resolved in accordance with the Dispute Resolution provisions set forth in our Terms of Service.
